This article tells you how to change the DNS/MX settings or restore the default DNS settings for a domain or subdomain.

Step 1

Log in to the 1&1 Customer Area/Dashboard: If you have multiple contracts and the 1&1 Customer Area could not identify the one you want to access, the list of your contracts is displayed.
Just click on the contract of your choice.

Step 2

Click on Domains and SSL

Step 3

Select your domain name

Step 4

Select the DNS tab

Step 5

The MX Records must be modified with the Mailinblack ones sent by email.

Step 6

Click Edit a record and then fill in the MX fields with the codes that were sent to you at the end of your installation, then click Save.

How long does it take to propagate a DNS entry?

It usually takes 24 to 72 hours for the entry to be propagated. After about 15 minutes you can query our DNS server, which is updated more quickly.
