This article tells you how to edit the DNS/MX settings or restore the default DNS settings for a domain or subdomain.

You can customise authoritative name servers and DNS records (CNAME-Record, A-Record, MX-Record, etc.) from the Online customer area. If desired, you can also return to the default settings by following this procedure.

Step 1

Log in to your Online Console / Customer Area.

Step 2

Click on Domain, then on Domain name configuration.

Step 3

Select Edit the DNS Zone.

Step 4

Click on Add MX record

Step 5

Enter the type (MX), the destination and the priority.

Priority Email Server
5                  mx*.mailinblack.com.
100              mx*b.mailinblack.com.

Fill in the MX1 and MX2 fields with the codes that were sent to you at the end of your installation.

A DOT has to be added after the .com to close the record.

Step 6

Select Save a new version to confirm the changes

How long does it take to propagate a DNS entry?

It usually takes 24 to 72 hours for the entry to be propagated.
After about 15 minutes you can query our DNS server, which is updated more quickly.
