This article tells you how to edit the DNS/MX settings or restore the default DNS settings for a domain or subdomain.
You can customise authoritative name servers and DNS records (CNAME-Record, A-Record, MX-Record, etc.) from the Online customer area. If desired, you can also return to the default settings by following this procedure.
Step 1
Log in to your Online Console / Customer Area.
Step 2
Click on Domain, then on Domain name configuration.
Step 3
Select Edit the DNS Zone.
Step 4
Click on Add MX record
Step 5
Enter the type (MX), the destination and the priority.
Priority Email Server
5 mx*.mailinblack.com.
100 mx*b.mailinblack.com.
Fill in the MX1 and MX2 fields with the codes that were sent to you at the end of your installation.
A DOT has to be added after the .com to close the record.
Step 6
Select Save a new version to confirm the changes
How long does it take to propagate a DNS entry?
It usually takes 24 to 72 hours for the entry to be propagated.
After about 15 minutes you can query our DNS server, which is updated more quickly.
